Marconi Express is extending ‘Marconi Express 949’, the experimental line with ecological and 100% electric buses that flanks the monorail service with a direct connection, without intermediate stops, between Marconi Airport and the city centre, with its terminus in Piazza Malpighi, for the autumn.
With a frequency of one run every 33 minutes and journey times of around 28 minutes, the line operates 22 hours a day, starting at 4 a.m. (with the first run from Piazza Malpighi) until 2 a.m. (last run from the airport at 1.32 a.m.).
On the ‘Marconi Express 949’ line, Marconi Express tickets can be used at the same price as the monorail, with the possibility of payment through the ‘Pay&Go Contactless’ system at the turnstiles installed on the buses: the tickets include a 75-minute supplement for travel on Tper’s urban lines and, in the case of a return ticket, can also be used on the people mover.
Passengers can also use the new discount fare ‘Flex solo Bus 949′, worth EUR 9.80 for the single journey, without supplementary urban transport. The ticket can only be purchased online, at the ticket machine at the ‘Airport’ terminal (payment by credit card is recommended) and through the by credit card) and through the Roger app, selecting ‘Flex only Bus 949’.
