In anticipation of the increase in airport traffic caused by Cosmoprof, , the beauty trade fair taking place at Bologna Fiere, Marconi Express announces that from Sunday 12 to Sunday 19 March the system development work planned for the installation and testing of the so-called “Winter Mode” will be suspended. The monorail service will therefore be available from 5.40 a.m. to midnight. The development and testing of the programme, which will enable the monorail vehicles to be driven automatically at reduced speed in the event of adverse weather conditions, will resume on the evening of Monday 20 March, and will be completed by Sunday 26 March.
Moreover, on the occasion of Cosmoprof, from Wednesday 15 to Monday 20 March, Marconi Express and Tper will provide integrated mobility packages for visitors to the fair who will be landing at Bologna’s Marconi Airport. It will be possible to get to the exhibition using the Marconi Express monorail and the Tper city bus service, with two different purchasing formulas, which can be purchased at the ticket machines at the airport or via the Roger app:
- Marconi Express one-way or return plus city bus: at a flat rate of 12 euros you can use the monorail from Marconi Airport to the railway station or vice versa, and then continue by city bus with the same ticket. The ticket is valid for 75 minutes if purchased with the Roger app, which allows direct validation on board, or 120 minutes if purchased at ticket machines that issue an already validated ticket;
- Marconi Express round-trip plus urban bus for 3 days: at a cost of 23 euros, you can use the monorail round-trip between Marconi Airport and the railway station, and then travel freely on Tper urban public transport for three consecutive days from the first validation.
Finally, the “Marconi Express 940” night bus service remains available, guaranteeing connections between the airport and the central station for passengers departing with the first flights of the morning or arriving with the last flights of the night. There are two runs from Marconi airport to the central station in via Carracci, with departures at 1.15 a.m. and 4.30 a.m.; from the central station in via Carracci to the airport, runs at 0.42 a.m. and 4 a.m. The transfers take approximately 25 minutes, with an intermediate stop at Lazzaretto station. The costs and ticket purchase procedure for the “Marconi Express 940” line are the same as for the monorail service.
