Marconi Express announces that, from 4 p.m. on Tuesday 18 June, the monorail service will be suspended to allow for scheduled maintenance work on the route. Monorail service will resume on Thursday 20 June at 5.40 a.m., at the start of operations.
During the suspension of the monorail service, from 5.40 a.m. to midnight, the connection between the airport and Bologna Central Station, and vice versa, will be provided by the substitute shuttle bus service, with the following departure points: at the airport on the ground floor at the arrivals exit; at Lazzaretto station in Via Terracini; at Central Station in Via Carracci. Transfers take approximately 25 minutes, with an intermediate stop at Lazzaretto station.
The night bus service “Marconi Express 940” is also available with two trips from Marconi Airport to the central station in via Carracci (departures at 1.15 a.m. and 4.30 a.m.) and another two trips from the central station in via Carracci to the airport (departures at 0.42 a.m. and 4 a.m.).
The costs and ticket purchase methods for the replacement service and for the “Marconi Express 940” line are the same as for the monorail service.
Finally, we would like to remind you that the new 100% electric bus line “Marconi Express 949” is now operational, connecting the airport and the city centre, with its terminus in Piazza Malpighi, without intermediate stops. The line runs from 4 a.m. (with the first run from Piazza Malpighi) until 2 a.m. (last run from the airport at 1.32 a.m.). A discounted fare worth EUR 9.80 is available for the single journey, without urban integration. Tickets can only be purchased on the MarconiExpress.it website, at the ticket machine at the “Aeroporto” terminus (payment by credit card is recommended) and through the Roger app, selecting the title “Flex solo Bus 949”.
