Marconi Express supports Bologna Missione Clima, the transition plan to achieve climate neutrality by 2030, for which Bologna was selected by the European Commission. Climate neutrality is the balancing of climate-changing gas emissions and CO2 removals: the aim is to decrease to zero emissions of CO2.
To achieve climate neutrality, in fact, it is essential to involve citizens first and foremost and all local stakeholders: Marconi Express plays a fundamental role within mobility innovation and energy efficiency
“For us at Marconi Express, the commitment to technological innovation and sustainable mobility is a priority,” says President Massimiliano Cudia. “We are an innovative transportation carrier and our characteristic is to have an environmental impact compatible with European best practices, a sign that should permanently distinguish us.”
Thanks to 1,904 photovoltaic panels installed on the running route, Marcon Express self-produces more than a third of its energy, actively contributing to energy decarbonization and, thus, to the community welfare. In 2023, travel from the airport to Bologna’s central station and vice versa via Marconi Express saved about 884.5 tons of CO2.
