Bologna 4°C

WHERE TO BUY THE TICKETS

The system allows you to access Marconi Express simply by tapping your contactless card or device at the Marconi Express gate, both for entering and exiting.

TYPES OF TICKETS FOR SALE
With the contactless Pay&Go mode, the one-way Standard flex fares are applied. If the return journey is made within 30 days, round-trip fares are applied. For journeys between the Bologna Central station and the Lazzaretto station, the Lazzaretto fare applies.

Only one person is allowed per card. The multi-traveler option is not provided.

PAYMENT METHODS

  • Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro contactless cards
  • Smartphone or smartwatch with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology equipped with an electronic payment system (Google Pay, Apple Pay…)

EMISSION OF THE TICKET
There is no paper ticket: the ticket consists of the contactless card or device. The ticket inspectors will verify the successful payment by tapping the card or device on an electronic reader they are equipped with. Even though it is not necessary for inspection purposes, you can download a PDF and then print the receipt of the Pay&Go Contactless ticket by registering at the reserved area and entering your credit card number.

PAYMENT SECURITY
The system guarantees secure payments. In fact, contactless transactions use the same security techniques employed to manage payments with all traditional cards. With the contactless technology, no payment can be made if the POS is not activated; the card works only if placed less than 4 centimeters away from the POS and there is no risk of double charge: even if you touch the POS with the card more than once, only one transaction will be recorded.

You can buy all types of tickets online.

PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED

  • Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro cards

EMISSION OF TICKET
Once the purchase process is completed, the ticket is sent to the e-mail address indicated during the purchase phase in the form of a QR-code that allows access to the gates.
In the case of round-trip tickets, Family and Group, a QR-Code will be sent per person and journey.
